TESL Bilingual Endorsement Certificate Program
The Bilingual Endorsement Program provides the necessary courses for certification as a bilingual teacher in the state of New Jersey. This certificate is only for US-certified teachers who hold a US teaching credential in a subject area (elementary or secondary math, science, social studies, etc.).
Upon successful completion, US citizens, who hold a US teacher certification, will be eligible to apply for a Certificate of Eligibility of Advanced Standing (CEAS) after completing this program of study. Please consult the New Jersey Department of Education Endorsement Code for additional details.

TESL Certificate Program (for students in the global program)
All students who successfully complete the TESL Certificate program will receive the following: 1) TCNJ Certificate, 2) Certificate of Qualification (CQ) – US and Non-US Citizens.
The Certificate of Qualification (CQ) is a graduation document and is available to all students (US Citizens and Non-US Citizens). The CQ was developed by the School of Education and it is produced and disbursed by TCNJ’s Certification Office. It verifies successful completion of the required graduate coursework for a teacher preparation program. It is a credential widely recognized by International Schools and their accrediting agencies.
TESL Certificate Program (for students in the US-based cohort program)
All students who successfully complete the TESL Certificate program (US-based cohort based) will receive the following: TCNJ Certificate, initial or endorsement certification through the NJ Department of Education (CEAS or Standard certificate).
Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) – M.Ed. Program

The program prepares exemplary teachers with the skills needed to reach diverse learners. Courses provide a foundation in the practical, theoretical, and professional aspects in the field of Teaching ESL, both in the US and in international settings.
