TCNJ Office of Student Financial Assistance (Financial Aid)
Student Loans
There are two types of financial aid available to students: loans (which you must repay) and scholarships (which you do not have to repay). Students can apply for student loans through TCNJ if you meet the following requirements:
1. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
2. You are matriculated into a TCNJ program (NOT a visiting student).
3. You are registered for a minimum of 5 credits in the term you are seeking aid (fall, spring, or summer).
If you meet these criteria, please complete the following steps:
1. The 2019-2020* FAFSA application at www.fafsa.gov;
(*Summer 2020 students should complete two FAFSA applications: 2019-2020 AND 2020-2021.)
2. A PAWS application for financial aid (Link to instructions);
3. A PAWS promissory note.

New Student Awards
A limited number of awards are available for new students who register for three summer courses. Each summer’s form will open in conjunction with that summer’s pre-registration forms.

TCNJ is also a participant in Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA), a program that provides up to $4,000 (over 2 years) of financial assistance for military spouses who are pursuing associate degree programs, licenses or certifications leading to employment in portable career fields.
